About My Challenge

I have an injured shoulder, but I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Because, I've lost someone to suicide due to mental health, someone who I only encouraged once and wish I knew I had prayed for more... I myself have suffered mental torture and worse. But Thanks To God, I'm Still Here. Many People don't know the struggle of people with mental health, and when they see the pain and worse, they feel uncomfortable, and inadequate and shy away or try to quick fix it, because it looks that painful... And no two cases are exactly the same, so what works for someone might not work for someone else... Really, Sometimes Only God Knows What A Person Needs, And Listening To God, if You Can, Pays Off, Could Save A Life. A lot of people with mental illness have no idea of there's a solution, then trying to tell them what it is, from the outside of their mind... I want to raise Awareness, That Mental Health issues are real, And That There Is Hope... And it's not always just more medication with more side effects that cause depression because of how physically painful they are or emotionally... Lord Willing, I Plan To Put Out A Page That Talks About Schizophrenia, From A "Sufferer"/"Survivor"'s Point Of View, So People Dealing with others with mental health, can get some insight into what it's actually like, and what might be the most helpful solutions, in some cases. No two people with mental health are exactly the same, so I can't promise an all-fitting solution, just hopefully A Ray Of Light... Anyways, There Was A Song, By One Of My Favorite Christian Bands, Rapture Ruckus, Rapping, "We Ain't gonna let another Brother die,... or a Sister fall short of The Line,... So Get your hands Off Our Children, hands Off Our Schools, hands Off Our Families, 'Cause Our Lord God Rules! Get your hands Off Our City, Get your Hands Off Our Nation... " Rapping Against the devil, and suicide... it's like the devil, comes for three things, to kill, to steal, and to destroy, just like the devil, works for the evil foe to, it does, I'm convinced! This... Is Personal!

Please support me as I push for better mental health from 5-27 February. All proceeds help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand build a future where mental health is treasured, protected and prioritised. And I Promise To Try And Inform The Mental Health Foundation, On Behalf Of Mental Health Sufferers/And Survivors, what it's actually like to have mental health, And Which Treatments Work, Which Treatments Feel Better!

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
