About Our Poolside Team Challenge
This February, the Te Ngāengae Pool + Fitness poolside team is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge — and turning it into a friendly in-house competition against our gym and office teams.
We’re challenging ourselves to complete 2,000 push-ups between 5–27 February 2026 to support better mental health outcomes across Aotearoa New Zealand.
As a team that keeps our community safe in and around the water every day — supporting swimmers, running aquatic programmes, and creating a welcoming environment — we understand the importance of wellbeing in all its forms. This challenge is our way of pushing ourselves for a cause that strengthens both body and mind, while having some competitive fun along the way.
You can support our team by joining us or donating to our fundraising page.
All funds raised go to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, helping build a future where mental health is valued, protected, and prioritised.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
