About Our Challenge
In February, our Team is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge. We are challenging ourselves to complete 2,000 push-ups between 5-27 February, 2026 to push for better mental health outcomes in Aotearoa New Zealand.
It is a physical challenge and a test of discipline. We'll hold each other accountable for meeting the targets and support each other along the way.
According to Google AI:
Physical exercise significantly boosts mental health by releasing endorphins, reducing stress hormones, and promoting brain growth. Just 2.5 hours of activity weekly can increase the likelihood of good mental health by 51%, easing anxiety and depression. It improves sleep, confidence, and cognitive function.
You can help us push for better mental health in Aotearoa by joining us or donating to our Team.
This team started by a few colleagues but we strongly encourage friends, family members and others to join. 🇳🇿⛵️🏆
Funds raised enable The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand to build a future where mental health is treasured, protected and prioritised.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
