It goes in cycles
Just shy of two years ago, one of my brother's took his own life.
After two years of just getting by, trying to understand what happened and what it means for the rest of our lives, I'm ready to start pushing up again ;)
This year, I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
To keep things spicy, I'll be doing all pushups on my knuckles, in sets no less than 20 at a time. If I start a set and don't complete it, I'll add those to the grand total, rest and start the set again.
We all know the mental health landscape in New Zealand is a challenging one. Nearly everyone I know has lost someone to suicide. You don't have to donate. Just however you're able to help this month, please help.
It could be a call or a catchup with someone you care about. This month, let's experiment with how powerful Being There can be. Bring your talents, your laughter, patience and heart to the people you matter and need it most.
Thanks so much in advance ;) Don't forget to claim 33% of any donations back at the EOFY, turns out Charity is tax deductable :p

Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
