About Our Challenge
Up We Go started from a simple idea. Mental health matters, and it is easier to do hard things when you are not doing them alone.
In February, our community is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge, challenging ourselves to complete 2,000 push-ups between 5–27 February 2026. Each push-up is a small act of commitment to better mental health outcomes in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This fundraiser is not about being the fittest or doing perfect push-ups. It is about showing up each day in a way that works for you. Some people will take it on solo. Others will bring a few mates or build a team. All of it counts.
By joining or donating, you are helping support the work of the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, enabling them to build a future where mental health is treasured, protected, and prioritised.
If you are looking for a reason to move your body, support mental health, or be part of something positive, you are welcome here.
Join us, build a team if you want, or support the community with a donation.
Every push-up and every dollar helps.
Up we go, together.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
