About Our Challenge
In February 2026, our team is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge, where we will complete 2,000 push-ups each between the 5th and 27th of February to represent the approximately 2,000 lives lost to suicide globally each day.
At YWCA Waikato, our focus is on improving the wellbeing of young women across the Waikato region, helping them to feel supported, connected, and empowered to thrive. This wero (challenge) is something we as a team believe is important to take on.
All funds raised from this challenge go towards supporting the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand - a trusted voice and advocate for a better mental health system and improved wellbeing outcomes for all New Zealanders. You can help us push for better mental health by joining our team, making your own team, or donating to us below.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
