About My Challenge
Many of you know that I’m no stranger to mental health struggles. It's been an ongoing battle for the past 18 years, and I definitely wouldn’t have made it this far without the support of others: from friends like yourselves, to counselling services, that helped me through some of my darkest moments.
Though I'm a regular gym-goer, push-ups are not my strength, which is exactly why I’m taking on this challenge to push (up) for better mental health. I hope to have your support once again as I do 2,000 push-ups in 23 days (from 5-27 Feb) to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
All proceeds will go to the Mental Health Association of New Zealand. Every bit counts, and if we can help even one person feel less alone or get the support they need, it will be worth it.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
