About Our Challenge

This February, our office team is taking on The Push-Up Challenge to support better mental health in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Between 5 and 27 February 2026, we are aiming to complete 2,000 reps as a team. Push-ups are the main event, but in the interest of keeping our shoulders intact and our physios unemployed, we will be mixing in squats, sit-ups and a few other exercises along the way.

We are doing this to challenge ourselves, have a bit of fun, and most importantly, raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. The funds raised support work that helps improve mental wellbeing and supports people across the country.

You can support us by joining the challenge or donating to our team. Every rep counts, and so does every dollar.

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.

Go AVO - you can do it. Some days will feel strong, some will feel tough — and that’s okay. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s participation. One push-up at a time, one teammate at a time. Let’s go, AVO NZ
