This is for the nurses đđŸ
From the 5th to the 27th of February, Iâll be taking on a personal challenge of 2,000 push-ups over 23 days to raise awareness for IBD, including Colitis and Crohnâs, and other autoimmune diseases.
Â
Living with an autoimmune condition isnât always visible, but itâs something that affects every part of life. Iâve spent time in hospital, felt vulnerable, scared, and exhausted â and during those moments, the nurses in the colonoscopy unit were there with compassion, patience, and kindness when I needed it most.
Â
They look after so many people like me, often without recognition, and Iâd love to give something back. My hope is to raise enough money to shout them lunches, food, or even a dinner or outing, as a small thank-you for the care they give so selflessly every day.
Â
If this challenge helps even one person feel seen, supported, or understood â or brings a smile to the people who dedicate their lives to caring for others â then every push-up will be worth it. Any donation, share, or message of support truly means more than I can put into words.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyoneâs mental health is valued and protected.
