About My Challenge
What's my why?
Women in their 40's have a lot to contend with- many are in the 'sandwich' era, having to look after and be responsible for teenage children as well as Parents, potentially even have mōkō to nurture...all while having to come to grips with a body that is changing on the daily due to fluctuation and hormonal imbalances.
This can cause many women to question themselves and their reactions in their everyday lives...moodswings, brain fog and physicality abilities all add to frustration and self-questioning.
This is where mental health awareness is so important.
I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Please support me as I push for better mental health from 5-27 February. All proceeds help the Mental Health Association of New Zealand build a future where mental health is treasured, protected and prioritised.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
