About My Challenge

This February, I’m taking on a physical challenge that’s closely tied to my own mental health journey. I’ll be completing 2,000 squats over 23 days, in memory of my brother and my dad.

I’m currently on my own healing journey, learning how to better care for my mental health. When this challenge came along, it felt like more than a coincidence...like something that arrived at the right time, encouraging me to keep moving forward, both physically and emotionally. Taking this on is a way for me to honour them, to step outside my comfort zone, and to turn something painful into something purposeful.

All proceeds will go to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, supporting their work toward a future where mental health is treasured, protected, and prioritised. If you’re able to support or share, I’d be incredibly grateful.

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
