About My Challenge

From 5–27 February, I’m taking on a challenge of 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health.

As a tennis player and coach, I’ve learned that mental strength matters just as much as physical strength. You can train your body every day, but if your mind isn’t right, performance, confidence, and consistency all suffer. I started focusing on mental resilience to become a better athlete — and along the way, I realised how important it is off the court too.
As a man, I also believe it’s important to speak up. We’re often taught to “push through,” stay silent, and handle things alone. But real strength isn’t ignoring mental health — it’s working on it, talking about it, and supporting others to do the same.
I’m pushing myself physically to remind others that looking after your mental health is not weakness — it’s discipline, courage, and self-respect.
All proceeds from this challenge will go to Mental Health Association of New Zealand, helping build a future where mental health is treasured, protected, and prioritised.
If you’re able to support, donate, or even just share — it all helps.
Let’s get stronger, mentally and physically. 💪🧠

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
