Simone Clarkson

A note from Me

I can't do a push up to save my life. I do know though, how much the right support in the darkest of headspaces can save a life.

I know some amazing people that struggle with mental health. I too have struggled, and still struggle with anxiety on a daily basis. I have also lost friends to the very real battle that is depression.

So I am pushing myself, to complete 2,000 alternate push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health. By the end of the 23 days I may actually be able to do a full push-up.. in the meantime I'm mixing it up with wall and incline push ups and cobras.

All proceeds help the Mental Health Association of New Zealand build a future where mental health is treasured, protected and prioritised. Thanks for your support!

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
