About My Challenge

Kia ora whānau,

A couple of days ago I came across a challenge: 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health.

Mental illness affects so many of our friends and whānau — and it’s not just us men. Today I’m showing my love and support for everyone who’s struggling by taking on this challenge and giving it everything I’ve got.

For me, this isn’t only about mental health. It’s also about bettering myself, getting back into my fitness, and making sure I’m here — healthy and present — for a long time in my daughter’s life.

From 5–27 February, I’ll be pushing for better mental health, one rep at a time. All koha goes directly to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, helping build a future where mental health is treasured, protected, and prioritised.

Any support, big or small, means a lot. 💪💪
Arohanui.

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
