About Our Challenge

Waihi Beach Surf Club – Push-Up Challenge 2026

This February, Waihi Beach Surf Club is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge, aiming to complete 2,000 push-ups between 5–27 February to support better mental health in Aotearoa. We’re getting behind this cause as a club, and we’d love our whole community to get involved too.

Whether you’re a lifeguard, nipper parent, past member or simply someone who loves our beach, you’re welcome to join our team, log your push-ups and help us make an impact. Every rep counts, and together we can raise awareness and spark that chat.

Share this around, encourage each other, and lets make an impact.

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
