About My Challenge

I joined the pushup challenge 2 days before the start after um-ing and ah-ing for a while. It's a way to challenge myself to get out of the mental, and physical, rut I've been in with my health.

I have spinal/nerve damage which meant I've lost  95% of my muscle in my left shoulder/bicep and 2/3 of my right shoulder/bicep so it was a mental block thinking whether I could complete the challenge.

I will get it done even if it starts with knee pushups. I'm committed now.

And any funds raised will go to help people who have their own mental challenges so I ask for your support for me and others to make that decision and own it!

Let's go!

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
