About My Challenge
I’m taking on 2,000 push-ups in 23 days as part of The Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health we're on day 7! 💪
Mental health is something that’s deeply personal to me. Emma has faced significant struggles from a very young age, and through both my work in Emergency Veterinary Nursing and my volunteer role with the Fire Brigade, I’ve experienced just how confronting, emotionally draining, and physically demanding some days can be.
I’ve seen the people around me burn out. I’ve seen them struggle. And if I’m honest, I know I have at times too.
That’s why Emma and I are doing this challenge together. We truly believe mental health should be talked about openly — not hidden, not minimised, and never something to feel ashamed of.
If you ever need to talk, vent, or just decompress for a moment, please know we’re here to listen.
You can help push for better mental health by donating to my fundraising page and supporting this incredibly important cause.
Funds raised go to The Mental Health Foundation to support vital services and initiatives. Any donation, big or small, means more than you know.
All proceeds help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand build a future where mental health is treasured, protected and prioritised.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
