About My Challenge
I’m taking on 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health - for my own kaupapa, for my friends and whānau experiencing mental distress, and for everyone affected by suicide. This challenge reflects the work I live for and the people I care deeply about. Worldwide, approximately two thousand people lose their lives to suicide each day - that’s two thousand individuals, families, and stories.
From 5–27 February, I’m pushing myself physically to help push for better mental wellbeing for all. I want to encourage everyone to talk about mental health, to show up for themselves and each other, and to know it’s okay to reach out. Please support me and help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand build a future where mental health is treasured, protected, and prioritised.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
