About My Challenge
I’m doing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days from 5–27 February to raise funds and awareness for mental health.
Why?
Because in New Zealand we love to pretend we’re “sweet as” even when we’re absolutely not sweet as. We’ll break an ankle, lose our job, and have a full existential crisis but still say: “Yeah nah, all good.”
So I’m pushing myself - literally - to help normalise talking about mental health instead of pretending we’re made of concrete.
Every dollar goes to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, helping build a future where mental health is treasured, protected, and actually prioritised… instead of swept under the carpet next to all our repressed emotions.
If you can support, donate, cheer me on, or simply admit “yeah OK maybe I am a bit stressed,” that’s a win for all of us.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.
Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
