About My Challenge

I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
We likely all know someone who has been stuck in the muck before. Overwhelmed, hopeless and feeling like they are drowning in an inescapable pile of poo... maybe something we've experienced ourselves... Movement helped me and I have seen it help others. So in my weak and unmotivated state I want to push up to this challenge in recognition of those burdened by the heavy weight of depression, low mood, suicidal thoughts and general hopelessness. Kaupapa like this aim to open the door for this conversation, reduce stigma and raise funds for places working to support those going through it and those supporting others going through.

Please support me as I push for better mental health from 5-27 February. All proceeds help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand - a kaupapa that supports mental health education with their free resources and tautoko of mental health kaupapa.

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
