Men’s Mental Health Matters
Silverbacks are a group of mates taking on The Push Up Challenge 2026 to support men’s mental health, because silence is killing our mates.
We’re doing this because too many men struggle in silence and too many of our friends are dealing with more than they let on. This challenge is about backing our mates, keeping each other accountable, and helping push real conversations where they’re needed.
Every push-up represents the conversations men avoid, the pressure we carry, and the strength it takes to speak up instead of shutting down.
No gimmicks. No speeches. Just turning up, doing the work, and supporting causes that actually matter.
Supporting Mental Health Foundation
Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:
- Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
- Providing tools that support people through tough times
- Advocating for a better mental health system and society
