About My Challenge

I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Please support me as I push for better mental health from 5-27 February. All proceeds help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand build a future where mental health is treasured, protected and prioritised.

^I'll keep this in cause it sounds nice XD

For those that know me, most would know I've gone through my fair share of mental health challenges, now it’s time to go through a physical challenge, this won’t be easy. I’ve done the corporate challenge (5km) with no prep after sitting on my ass for 4 years after finishing my career in building. Overweight and out of shape, my back gave out in the first 200m and shin splints for added motivation. The next year I did a little bit of prep…. A couple nights on the treadmill (2ish km) before I got sick and having my asthma flair up before the race XD. I’ve been lucky to have great people by my side when I was low, and I want to do something to help others that need it.

Supporting Mental Health Foundation

Funds raised will invested by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand [The MHF] in three core areas of mahi:

  • Promoting everyday actions that lift mental wellbeing
  • Providing tools that support people through tough times
  • Advocating for a better mental health system and society

With your tautoko/support, we can build a fairer, more connected Aotearoa where everyone’s mental health is valued and protected.

Whāia te hauora hinengaro kia puāwai ai te hauora tangata - there is no health without mental health.
